About Imago Dei 2010
Imago Dei is Latin for “Image of God” found in Genesis 1:26-27: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them...” v.17. The concept of being created in “his image” has captivated the Christian consciousness for centuries. The creation narrative recounts the creation of the universe and humanity. It is no wonder that humans have a desire as part of the "thumb print of God" to create. We see this creation in children scribbling with chalk on a sidewalk, amateur poets writing a stanza at a coffee shop, and even a director envisioning the next short for their film: part of our “image bearing” is to create. The workshop will include: games, teachings and testimonies and then a chance to create and interact with the mediums that we have discussed each night. The cost is $5.00 a night or $20.00 for the week. This includes costs of art supplies, gallery rental, treats, etc. The final night will be an open gallery for the students to showcase their work to families and friends at World Cup Coffee House.
